eNeoteric Turns 1: Our First Year in Enterprise IT
Solutions
On January 30, 2021, eNeoteric Consultancy Services came into being. It was not a grand launch with fireworks and press releases. It was a quiet beginning -- a small team with a clear conviction that Indian enterprises deserved better, more transparent IT infrastructure services. One year on, as we mark our first anniversary, it feels right to pause and reflect on how far we have come and where we are headed.
The idea behind eNeoteric was straightforward: bring world-class wireless and IT infrastructure expertise to enterprises across India, delivered with honesty, technical depth, and a genuine commitment to solving real problems. Too many organisations were getting subpar WiFi deployments, half-hearted site surveys, and cookie-cutter network designs. We wanted to change that.
The early days. Our first few months were spent building from the ground up. We set up our office in Bangalore -- a city that felt like the natural home for a company focused on enterprise technology. Sarjapur Road, surrounded by tech parks and enterprise campuses, became our base. The office was modest, the ambitions were not. We invested heavily in Ekahau tools and survey equipment from day one, because we believed that the quality of our work would speak louder than any marketing campaign.
Our founding team brought years of combined experience in enterprise wireless, network design, and IT project delivery. That experience became our calling card. When we walked into our first client meetings, we did not have a long company track record to lean on -- but we had deep technical knowledge and a willingness to go the extra mile on every engagement.
First clients, first projects. Our very first project was a WiFi site survey for a mid-sized IT company in Electronic City, Bangalore. It was a validation survey for a recently deployed wireless network that was plagued with coverage gaps and roaming issues. We identified the root causes, delivered a detailed remediation plan with heatmaps and AP placement recommendations, and the client implemented our suggestions within two weeks. The feedback was immediate -- connectivity complaints dropped by over 80 percent. That project set the tone for everything that followed.
Over the next several months, we completed WiFi site surveys and wireless network assessments for companies across Bangalore and the surrounding region. Each project reinforced our approach: thorough assessment, honest reporting, and practical recommendations that clients could actually implement. We did not upsell unnecessary hardware or overcomplicate designs. We focused on getting the fundamentals right -- coverage, capacity, roaming, and security.
Building the Ekahau partnership. From the very start, we aligned ourselves with Ekahau, the industry gold standard for WiFi planning and site survey tools. During our first year, we began the process of becoming an authorized Ekahau partner, investing in training and certification for our engineers. Ekahau's tools -- from predictive design in Ekahau AI Pro to on-site surveys with Sidekick 2 -- became central to our delivery methodology. This partnership allowed us to offer a level of precision and professionalism that set us apart from the many vendors doing WiFi work with basic, consumer-grade tools.
Growing the team. By mid-2021, we had grown from our founding members to a small but capable team of wireless engineers, network specialists, and project coordinators. Every hire was intentional. We looked for people who combined technical depth with genuine curiosity and a service-oriented mindset. Training was continuous -- weekly knowledge-sharing sessions, hands-on lab work, and shadowing on client projects ensured that every team member could deliver to the standard we had set.
One of the things we got right early was building a culture of documentation and knowledge sharing. Every site survey, every network assessment, every design review was documented thoroughly. This not only helped our clients but also created an internal knowledge base that accelerated the onboarding of new team members and improved the consistency of our deliverables.
Serving our first 10 clients. By the end of our first year, we had served 10 enterprise clients across Bangalore, including companies in IT services, manufacturing, and co-working spaces. The projects ranged from single-floor WiFi assessments to multi-building campus surveys. Each engagement taught us something -- about client expectations, about the unique challenges of Indian building construction for wireless propagation, and about the importance of clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
What made us proudest was the repeat business. Several of our early clients came back to us for additional sites or expanded scope. That repeat trust, more than any metric, told us we were on the right track.
Lessons from year one. If there is one lesson that stands out from our first year, it is this: in enterprise IT services, there is no substitute for doing the work properly. Cutting corners on a site survey or rushing a network design always catches up with you -- in the form of user complaints, rework, and damaged trust. We built our reputation by being thorough, transparent, and reliable, and that reputation became our most valuable asset.
We also learned the importance of listening. Every client environment is different. The wireless requirements of a manufacturing floor are nothing like those of a modern open-plan office. By listening carefully during the scoping phase and asking the right questions, we avoided assumptions that could have led to poor outcomes.
Looking ahead to year two. As we enter our second year, we are expanding our service offerings beyond WiFi and wireless. Clients have been asking us for help with broader network infrastructure, security assessments, and structured cabling -- and we are building the capabilities to deliver on those requests. We are also looking beyond Bangalore, with plans to serve clients in Mumbai and other major cities.
Our goal for year two is clear: deepen our expertise, expand our geographic reach, and continue to earn the trust of every client we serve. We want to be the partner that enterprises turn to when they need IT infrastructure done right -- not the cheapest option, but the most reliable one.
To our clients, partners, and team members who made this first year possible: thank you. This is just the beginning.
