Security Research Opportunities

eNeoteric's research team works at the intersection of threat intelligence, vulnerability research, and applied security — producing findings that make our customer engagements sharper and contribute to the broader Indian security community. If you want to do security research that matters, not just publish for publication's sake, we want to hear from you.

Research collaboration

eNeoteric collaborates with academic institutions, independent researchers, and security community organisations on joint research projects. If you are an academic or independent researcher with a project aligned to our research areas, we are open to collaboration discussions including co-authorship, data sharing, and sponsored research arrangements.

We also participate in coordinated vulnerability disclosure — if you discover a vulnerability in a product used by Indian enterprises, we can assist with responsible disclosure coordination and, where appropriate, notify affected organisations through our customer network.

Frequently asked questions

What qualifications do research team members need?
We value demonstrated research capability over formal qualifications. Relevant CVE discoveries, conference presentations (NULLCON, c0c0n, BSides India, DEF CON), published threat intelligence, CTF achievements, and open-source security tool contributions are all strong signals. A relevant degree (CS, ECE, mathematics) is a plus but not required.
Do you publish your research publicly?
Yes — where responsible disclosure or customer confidentiality allows. We publish threat intelligence reports, vulnerability advisories, and security research on our Insights page and present at Indian and international conferences. Researchers who join us retain the ability to publish work they lead, with appropriate review.
Can I collaborate with eNeoteric as an independent researcher?
Yes. We are open to research collaborations, data-sharing arrangements, and co-authored publications with independent researchers and academic institutions. Email research@encse.com with your research background and proposed collaboration.
Does eNeoteric have a CVE numbering authority relationship?
We work through CERT-In and relevant CNAs for coordinated vulnerability disclosure. If you discover a vulnerability and need assistance with the disclosure process, contact research@encse.com.
