Data center infrastructure basics — Learn how a data centre is structured: power distribution, cooling systems, racks, cabling and the roles of the key infrastructure components.
Server, storage & UPS overview — Understand the different types of servers (rack, blade, tower), storage systems (SAN, NAS, DAS) and UPS/power protection — and when each is used.
Backup fundamentals & RPO/RTO concepts — Get a clear understanding of data backup, recovery point objective (RPO) and recovery time objective (RTO), and why a backup strategy is essential for every organisation.
Physical & environmental controls — Learn about the physical and environmental controls in a data centre: access control, CCTV, temperature monitoring, fire suppression and what to do in an emergency.
